Welcome back folks to our first full episode of the Brit Roller Six podcast.
We are super-excited to get this out to you all!
In this episode we start out with the announcement of our “Name Our Podcast” competition winner and the unveiling of the new title, move into a discussion on the subject of attracting new players & getting the ball rolling on a new scene, and finish up with the first of a regular segment; “Andy’s Q Branch”, where Andy works on a little project behind the scenes. In this Q Branch he contributes his thoughts to the age old favourite subject of “what new IPs would be good in Dice Masters?”
The new podcast title will be in effect for the next episode – keep an eye out in case you need to re-search for us if you use a third party Podcast app to subscribe.

Show Notes
We mentioned a few bits n’ bobs through this episode that we promised a bit more detail on – here’s some further info for you…
Andy’s Training Teams
I didn’t really go into much detail about the two starter teams we discussed on the podcast, so I thought I’d put them here with a brief description about them.
So a version of Iron Man, Capt. America, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye had to be in the Avengers whilst the Justice League had to have Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and, yes, I suppose The Flash.

A little note: I hate to ask, but the blog & podcast is now starting to generate a small amount of admin cost and we need help to keep it going.
If you enjoy reading the content & listening to our work then please, if you are in a position to help, make a small donation by clicking the ‘Donate’ button in the right hand sidebar.
All donations made are received with the absolute, firm assurance that they will be used to contribute to the costs generated in the admin, maintenance and equipment costs of the blog & podcast. We’ve fronted much of the cost to get it off the ground because, honestly, we love the game & enjoy doing it that much, but eventually the current Mrs Six might get around to looking over the credit card statement and… well… I’m sure you get where I’m coming from LOL
We’re also ambitious, and there’s so much yet we can do to improve the experience, it’s just that the improvements come with a price tag. So, if you can, please give a little helping hand & pitch in a bit.

Congrats to the winner! Love the name!
You guys are a delight. Andy had me going with the new IP.
Thanks for listening. Andy’s got loads of stuff lined up for future episodes – watch this space for more…
Yes, second place!
Well done. If Bruce-y had more international appeal we might have gone for it.
Great second episode lads! I’m humbled to have got in the top 5 for the naming comp 😀 Despite having never played dice masters I still really enjoy your musings. I’ll be in touch to remedy my dice masters virginity however. As for historical dice masters; you can totally have villains! Hitler, Stalin, Pol pot, Adelle; the options are endless.
If I’m honest – you made the top 5 because Andy’s Kenneth Williams-style take on it made me laugh LOL
John Wilkes Booth
4 cost Bolt, Villain
When fielded, immediately KO target President.
Subtitle = sic semper tyrannis
We could have Lee Harvey Oswald & CIA agent character cards that combo with a Grassy Knol action dice 😜
Love the show so far, as someone who only plays Dice Masters at home with his kids could you elastin what you mean by modern and golden please?
A feature on drafts and tournaments etc would be good as well so we know what to expect if we sign up for one.
Regarding IPs I know my kids would love a Dinosaur set, especially if can fight them against the Dragons
explain, not elastin
Sure thing. Here’s a link to the Wizkids site that explains the ‘Modern’ and ‘Golden’ distinction, but in short – they are two different tournament formats; Golden are tournaments where teams can use any card from any set, and Modern tournaments can only include cards from sets post War of Light.

Love the idea of a dinosaurs set. T-Rex vs BEWD – the match of the century.
How old are your kids? Mine are 4 & 6 and just a bit too young for Dice Masters yet…
9 and 12, 12 year old is becoming obsessive, 9 year old just enjoys games. The positive is a relatively new store in Leamington is doing family sessions once a week and has a lot of Dice Masters so will start using it more-they even did a Dice Masters Birthday Party a few months back where a basic deck was included for every guest
That sounds cool. Tell the store owner to get in touch and we’ll give him a call out and promote his family sessions.
