Ministry of Dice Podcast Will Be Late This Week…

Yes – that’s right folks – for the first time in nearly 5 years – we’re going to be posting an episode late.

If you follow any of our social media accounts (Facebook / Twitter / Instagram) then you may have caught wind of the fact that I’ve been ill. Actually properly ill, with tests, doctor visits, medication, bed rest n’all that good stuff involved. It has – to quote a friend – “knocked me on my ass” and meant that Andy & I were unable to record the audio.

With that, the fact my Dark Phoenix Saga pre-order from North America has been delayed, AND I had to cancel my trip to see The Batman, it has been officially a miserable week for me. Place the sympathy I’m fishing for in the comments below 😉

I wouldn’t expect you to know really, but contrary to our more anarchic & slap-dash image there’s actually quite a bit of work goes into the podcast.

Some of you fine MoD fans will know that Andy & I have a standing man-date every week on a Wednesday and do our audio recording prior to hopping on our Twitch channel for some live Dice Masters game play. An average 60-70 minute episode is usually the edited down product of around 2 hours of recorded conversation together. (We have eluded to it before – we have A LOT of unreleased audio tucked away on a hard-drive, some of it most definitely NOT for public consumption LOL) SO – not only have I been too poorly to record, but I wouldn’t have had it in me really to edit it into the sweet little package of joy we poke into your earholes every two week.

AND, because of the often… fluid…nature of Dice Masters news we often leave sections of the podcast to record at the last possible point we can. We are fortunate to get a heads up from Wizkids on things now & again, but community news or segments discussing the latest hot topic can be quite last minute. Our “just in time” approach of recording works wonders when we want things to be more immediate, but clearly comes undone like an international shipping & logistics crisis when an element (my health) falls apart.

So – keep your eyes out folks, we’ll get the recording & editing finished up and out as soon as we can. Watch this space…
